Sponsored Bike Ride in aid of St John’s Hospice by Jon Barry, Mayor of Lancaster

The Mayor of Lancaster, Jon Barry, has chosen St. John’s Hospice as his charity of the year and he came up with the idea of doing a sponsored bike ride around the newly opened Morecambe Bay Cycle Way in one day towing his Mayoral Trailer – otherwise known as the “Mayormobile”.  It is open to public participation and made it into a hospice event. The registration page has been open for 3 weeks. 
The route is NN700 (http://www.sustrans.org.uk/ncn/map/route/the-bay-cycle-way) and will pass through Bolton-le-Sands.  The timings are:
 Depart Walney Island 7am
Ulverston – 9am
Grange Over Sands -11.30am
Silverdale – 13.45 pm
Lancaster Millennium Bridge 15.30pm
Glasson Dock 16.30pm – finish
