There will be bicycle-themed mini festival at Glasson Dock in Lancaster on Sunday 14th June, with live music, street theatre, and much more, as part of celebrations for a new cycle trail around Morecambe Bay. The event is organised by Morecambe Bay Partnership and the charity Sustrans, as part of the opening of the new long-distance Bay Cycle Way  and to welcome the inaugural riders as they finish the new route, which runs from Walney Island to Glasson Dock.

There will also be a chance to find out more about the new Bay Cycle Way, try out electric bikes, and pick up a copy of the cycle route map. There will also be a limited number of free giveaways for those arriving first!
At 3pm there will be shouting, cheering and flag waving, as the intrepid band of cyclists who have completed the first full ride of the Bay Cycle Way cross the finish line. The Mayor of Lancaster will be on hand to officially welcome them home.
