Visit Morecambe Bay’s newest arrival at Red Bank
shore. It is a bird totem designed by
Ulverston-based artist and metalworker Chris Bramall of CB Arts. Morecambe Bay is one of the top three places
in the UK for wintering birds. It’s vast shining sands are a rich larder for
wading birds like lapwing, knot and curlew. Hundreds of thousands of birds use
Morecambe Bay. There are seven panels
altogether dotted around the bay and Morecambe Bay Partnership has produced a
leaflet which has already proved popular. If you would like to join them as a
volunteer to look after the birds of the Bay, please contact Morecambe Bay
Partnership on 01539 734888 info@morecambebay.org.uk for details.
