Bolton-le-Sands Playground

Following a Parish Council Public Meeting held in the Old Boys School on 1st December 2012, Community Playground Project (CPP) was formed to raise funds to redevelop the aging village playground. With support from Lancashire County Council a local award winning playground designer was commissioned to guide the redevelopment of the playground to create a fun social place for the children and families of the village. Local children were consulted to help determine the design of the playground. Over the following twelve months grants were applied for and a programme of community fundraising organised.

The new playground was opened on the 23rd of August 2014. Scores of excited children, and many excited parents, enjoyed a day of sunshine and made the best possible use of all of the new play equipment. The playground looks stunning compared to the old and worn one it replaced.

We thank local residents and businesses for their generous support. Your help in making this playground project a success will be appreciated by both current and future generations of residents in the community of Bolton-le-Sands.

The committee members are Keith Budden (Chairman), Linda Leak (Secretary), Bob Bond (Treasurer), Emma Bousfield, Cath Morris, Andrew Parker and Richard Tulej.
